3 Tips to Shop the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale like a Pro!

If you are not a Nordstrom insider or don’t know the amazingness of the Nordstrom Anniversary sale (also known as Nsale or the Nordy sale) here is the info you need to snag the best buys for the best prices.

A Little Bit About This Amazing Sale..

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is a bit unique. 

While other retailers mark down or discount postseason items or items that didn’t sell, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale offers deep discounts on pre-season items, yes I said pre- season!!! What this means for you is that all of the amazing pieces you need for Fall/Winter you can get right now- ahead of the season!

The key to this sale is that it runs in waves based on your level of membership at Nordstrom ( or in other words, how much you spend each year at Nordstroms. (see chart below) 

The more you shop at Nordstrom, the sooner you will be able to get into the sale and avoid the sellouts!

There are many perks to having a Nordstrom card but honestly this is the best one!! 

One of  the benefits to having a card is early access to the purchasing at the sale.  You can apply for a Nordstrom card HERE or check your status HERE.

If you are opposed to getting a store credit card ( and I am not trying to convince you otherwise) you definitely should sign up for the Nordy club to earn rewards and benefits.

Whatever your status you are sure to find some fantastic deals and once the sale is over, the merchandise returns to its regular pricing for the season.  

This is why this amazing sale is one of the best ones to keep on your radar year after year.

1. Make a plan- this is an amazing time to get those fall items AND to snag some amazing gifts!

There are so many luxury items on sale that it is the perfect time to grab some gifts for the holidays ( and for yourself ). Not only are there great bargains on clothing but the beauty items, perfume and home items are marked down as well. 

You can tick off items from a holiday list and get some of these fabulous products for yourself, here are few of my favorites and the prices are amazing!

2. Buy the shoes…..seriously!

After all, Nordstrom started as a shoe company so it makes sense that they have one of the best shoe departments around AND during the anniversary sale, these shoes are on sale, so it is the time to buy!!

3. Buy Lux Denim for Less

I am a confessed Denim addict – I love love love my denim and the best way to score those Rag & Bone that you have been looking at is at this sale.  

They also have some Madewell on sale which is another favorite of mine.  

Check out all the styles – look for flare which is still a style going strong, and don’t worry about ordering multiple sizes since Nordstrom has FREE shipping.
